The overriding attraction however was the food! The menu was lovely and extensive, all the food was beautifully cooked and presented and the restaurant very warm and inviting. We had a wonderful evening, and thank you to our brilliant hostess. We booked on a special offer for one night, dinner and breakfast and it was extremely good value. We will be back!"

"We would like to give all the staff at the Golden Lion a great big "thank you" for making our Anniversary celebrations a night to remember. We wanted to hold a party for 64 of our friends and the JACC’s suite proved ideal. But having an ideal location is nothing without the staff to support it. The Golden Lion came up trumps.
From the day we met the team to start planning our celebrations through to the time when we checked out nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were very friendly and efficient. Food and accommodation was five star. Our guests loved it and we loved it. Well done the Golden Lion."
