Rugby School Tours
Every Friday, Saturday and Monday at 2pm
Guided tours of the famous Rugby School starting from Rugby School bookshop, Barby Rd. The guides, many of whom are pupils, take visitors on a fascinating 1-2 hours long discovery tour, bringing to life the schools impressive buildings and history. Visit Rugby Cement Plant
Thursday 9 September and Friday 10th September
Explore Rugby's local history and heritage with a series of free events. For the second year under this scheme, there is the opportunity to visit the CEMEX RUGBY CEMENT PLANT, located in Lawford Road at CV21 2RY The tour of the UK's largest cement plant includes the pre-heater tower with spectacular views over Rugby and Warwickshire. Tours are being run today at 10.00 a.m., 1.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. Pre-booking is required (at the Rugby Visitor Centre). This is part of the national scheme, Heritage Open Days.
