Starting from the Golden Lion in Easenhall, turn left onto the pavement and walk approximately 25 metres. Now cross the road to a wooden gate that opens a narrow path between two gardens. After less than 20 metres there is a second gate into a small field. Opposite there is a third gate into a much larger field and over the canal bridge. After crossing the railway, go straight across the next filed and over the canal bridge. Climb the stile and walk straight o, keeping the remnants of an old hedge on your left. Climb a second stile and at the end of this field go through a gate and turn right onto a rough track. Follow the track to a house where it bears left over the canal and on towards a farm. Immediately you pass a small red brick barn, turn right through a gate into the farm yard. Continue through the farm until you come to a small wooden gate to the right of a cattle grid. The track now continues into a second cattle grid and gate. Go through the gate and take care as you cross the road into the tree lined drive opposite. Walk up the drive and where it bears to the left go straight on through an iron gate. Now cross a narrow strip of pasture to a second iron gate. A third iron gate less than 20 metres away takes you into the next field, turn right and walk down the field boundary to the stile. Cross the next field to the footbridge over the railway and continue diagonally across the next two fields to an iron farm gate. Go through the gate onto a rough track and turn right. In 300 metres the track goes into a wood, turn immediately left and after 75 metres cross two small wooden bridges before turning right down the field boundary. The path now continues straight ahead. After 500 metres there is a gate and the path continues up the hill with the boundary fence on your right. At the end of this path a gate leads into Welkin Farm where you walk down between the farm buildings before turning left onto the road through the village and back towards the pub.
