Ideal for a few days Break

The Golden Lion lies in the quiet village of Easenhall with a large car park and meadow at the rear. Nearer to the not too busy road is the older part of 3 dining rooms and a bar which are connected to a newer function room and 2 story accommodation wing. Outside there is a large patio with chairs and picnic tables. There are no particular facilities for children.

The inn clearly enjoys a good reputation for hosting large parties and receptions but not during our stay.

Over the 2 days we enjoyed all our meals and had no difficulty choosing from a menu, which did not change, but was sufficiently varied and typical of a good English Inn. The portions were generous including vegetables, well presented and served in pleasant surroundings. The staff were friendly, efficient and well trained. We thought the value for money was excellent and I have no hesitation giving this establishment a good recommendation."

"I previously stayed at a chain hotel when in Rugby won't be doing it again, it's the Golden Lion for me from now on."

"We were so pleased to find this place, in a convenient location for a family get-together. The pub is delightful, food was great, and accommodation very comfortable with all mod cons - perfect. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff very helpful. Four generations f us converged for a one night get together, having read good reviews here we were delighted to find it was all true. We didn't have time to explore the village, but went on to Coombe Abbey, which is a gem."

"The hotel is excellent and the food good . The bar is traditional , with no gaming machines or music . Quiet and relaxing."
