Chose this hotel as a midway meeting point with friends and were very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The rooms were clean & comfortable, although not huge, and the bathrooms were very nice. The overriding attraction however was the food! The menu was lovely and extensive, all the food was beautifully cooked and presented and the restaurant very warm and inviting. We had a wonderful evening, and thank you to our brilliant hostess. We booked on a special offer for one night, dinner and breakfast and it was extremely good value. We will be back!"

"Set in a little village a few miles from Rugby. Friendly, helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. We had a four poster bed with spa bath. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spotless, and the spa bath was heaven. We had a dinner bed and breakfast package and the food was marvellous. Can't fault anything, will definitely return."

"Very warm welcome when we arrived at 9.00pm. Much recent investment. Excellent quality for fixtures, fittings, bed linen etc. Good choice of local beers. We sat outside. Very good breakfast with high standard of produce. Would recommend this place and would go back again if we ever had to return to the area."

Travel***e eat your heart out!!!
As the title suggests, this hotel (and other small family run hotels) invariably provide a much better overall experience than can be found in large chain hotels. The welcome was warm, friendly and genuine. Check in was a simple and easy transaction and key worked first time in the bedroom door!!

"Wonderful Place - Highly Recommended. Just outside Rugby in lovely village... Booked a 4-poster room - the Chinese bed. Very well done. Creative and attractive. Not a big room but big enough. Great bathroom with jetted tub. Quiet and comfortable. Very good breakfast in the olde inn full of atmosphere. Just watch your head! Friendly, truly interested staff."
