"I just wanted to write to ‘say a big ‘Thank You’ for all your hard work to make Amy and Dan’s Wedding Reception so special. We had a truly wonderful day and I know Amy and Dan will have very happy memories of their special day.
Right from when we first made enquiries about holding the reception at the Golden Lion you have been so helpful, you very quickly put us at ease and took over organising everything so efficiently, you were so very patient with us and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was wonderful, our compliments go to the chefs. Many of our guests remarked on how lovely the meal was. The guests who stayed overnight were very impressed with the accommodation and tasty breakfast.

We would like to thank you so much for making our wedding day so special. The whole day went so well thanks to your efforts and we could not have wished for a nicer venue.
Right from the start Sara has been so helpful and friendly and very supportive of our ideas. Sara made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. As for the day itself, the venue looked completely beautiful. We have always loved the relaxed and cosy atmosphere of the Golden Lion and this was what we got on the day.
The food was absolutely delicious, we had so many comments about the generous portions and the quality of the beef was superb. I have specific dietary requirements that I mentioned to Sara months before the wedding and these were remembered, after the dessert before I knew it, I was presented with my own jug of lactose free milk which Sara had arranged without me worrying about it. That gesture reflects the attitude of the staff, so helpful and friendly.
The evening reception was also wonderful, one of the guests aged 83 said it was the best wedding he had ever been to in his entire life!
Thank you for making our wedding memories so special and ones we will treasure forever.
