"Thank you to Jim, Claudia and all the staff at the Golden Lion who helped make our wedding a perfect occasion.
Having previously enjoyed the hospitality of the Golden Lion, the hotel was always first choice for our wedding which began on the Friday night and finished on the Sunday. From start to finish everything was perfect. The food was fantastic, the setting was lovely and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed a brilliant weekend in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Those guests who stayed found the rooms clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble.
Special mention must go to Sara, the wedding planner. She was always there to provide help and advice and to put us in touch with her network of contacts who helped make our day go so well – she found us a florist who provided spectacular flowers and even arranged our dancing lessons! Sara was friendly and supportive and her calmness and fantastic attention to detail reassured us that everything would proceed like clockwork.
We would recommend the Golden Lion as a perfect venue to any couple looking to enjoy a memorable and trouble free wedding."

"Alan and I chose the Golden Lion as the venue for our wedding celebrations because it had the right sized room for what we wanted and offered a choice of menu options. However, what swung it for us over other options was that Sara took an interest in us, found out what we wanted and made helpful suggestions. This helped make it feel special and gave us confidence in our choice.
The day went smoothly and we enjoyed the hospitality provided by the Golden Lion for both our daytime wedding reception and the evening disco. Several guests commented on how lovely, light and airy the room looked and what a pleasant setting it was for a wedding. The food also went down well with everyone.
We considered the bedrooms we used the day before and on our wedding night to be finished to a higher standard and to be much better value than at other wedding venues we have experienced and enjoyed the following days breakfast too. Thanks to all the staff for their help. "

"Sara firstly I would like to thank you for all your hard work and attention to detail throughout the run up and day itself! We originally had our wedding book at another venue in Rugby and the service they were offering was nothing compared to the Golden Lion! We were blown away with how friendly and helpful everybody was on our big day.
A number of our guests who stayed overnight also commented on the cleanliness of there rooms and the quality of breakfast we were given in the morning. The quality of food was amazing on our day, hats off to the chef! I would recommend this venue to anyone just on the basis quality and attention to detail. Thank you again to all members of staff on that day and morning after!"

"We both felt we had to write today to thank you and your team at the Golden Lion for organising the wonderful celebration we had for the Christening Party yesterday. The room and the tables looked pristine and every single person commented on the fabulous food which was presented so beautifully.
The starters of smoked salmon and Melon with Grand Marnier were a perfect beginning to the meal, then the succulent carvery buffet of Roast Beef and Roast Turkey with all the accompaniments and vegetables was just so tasty and hot (which is unusual these days) And what can I say about the desserts, the Chocolate truffle (which was absolutely delicious) and the sticky toffee pavlova which was also extremely popular.The service was second to none and the young man on the bar was just so pleasant.
I was also just so impressed with the way you too got stuck in to ensure everything went like clockwork. Everything was just perfect, so thank you so much to you all the team at the Golden Lion."
