May we begin by congratulating you both on your engagement and offer our warmest welcome to the Golden Lion Hotel. We are right in the heart of rural Warwickshire surrounded by beautiful scenery and quaint villages.

We are delighted in being able to offer facilities so that you may have your civil ceremony as well as the wedding reception to celebrate your day with friends and family. All this will take place in our self contained contemporary Jaccs Suite.

Please be assured that our dedicated team strive to ensure your day is exactly how you would like it. Unlike a lot of venues, we are extremely flexible and the function suite will be at your private use all in aid of making your day that extra bit special.

Accommodation

A complimentary bridal suite can be provided for the Bride and Groom as well as a further 18 bedrooms are available for guests to book if they wish..

Perhaps some of your guests are travelling from further a field or some may not fancy the taxi ride home.

Jaccs Suite

Located in the centre of the establishment is our private function room ‘JACCS’. Situated on the ground floor of the building with disabled access, outside space and views of the hotel's terrace and gardens. The room boasts plenty of light from the floor length windows and skylights. If you wish to add a little more space, a marquee can be arranged. The space is extremely open and airy with a glamorous feature chandelier right in the centre of the room.

As JACCS will be yours for the day we aim to be accommodating and open to your designs and layout so that we can achieve your exact requirements.

The Ceremony

At the Golden Lion we hold a licence for civil ceremonies that can take place in our Jaccs Suite holding up to approximately 80 guests. If you decide you would like to book your marriage ceremony at the Golden Lion, you will need to contact the registrars first. They will give you the availability and only they can book the ceremony for you and for legal reasons two registrars must be present at the ceremony.

You will need to do this as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.

The Wedding Breakfast

During the planning of your wedding, we understand that everyone likes something different and we hope we can offer all the help that you need in the planning of your day. Therefore our experienced Functions Manager will sit down and discuss with you what requirements you both want in order to tailor make a day to remember.

All of the functions that we host have their own individual touch. Our aim is to be flexible and efficient ensuring that nothing is to much trouble for you.

The Evening Do

Whether you want to dance the night away or just relax and take in your blissful day, our Jaccs suite can be quickly turned around and transformed to make that perfect atmosphere.

There is space for guests to sit and chat as well as room for that all important evening entertainment. We have a vast contact list of disco and band hire as well as something a little different such as photo booth hire or sweet stalls.

We have a wonderful selection of evening buffet menus for you to choose from as well as canapés, hog roasts and sizzling BBQs.

We will deliver the most flexible, personalised, friendly service for all your requirements and if you would prefer us to do all the hard work for you, we can take care of decorations, seating plans, entertainment and discos.
